Travelling is good way to learn languages and it encourge to speak other languages. Travelling is also good way to learn about other countries, their culture and it embiggens the way you see the world. Every country has their own style for living and through that people get many new experiences to try to fit there and visit there for a while. Travelling is also one way to just relax and forget for a while all work stuff and other stressful things.
People nowadays travel much more than 50 years ago and it has become more and more bigger source of income. Some places people and even cities could not manage without turism and all their incomes is based on turism especially in poor countries like Thailand.
Because travelling is all the time increasing it means that all kinds of vehicles are used. Those vehicles like airplane, ships and trains may cause pollution. And because travelling is increasing it means that pollution is increasing. People are all the time developing new inventions against pollution and maybe one day someone invents something mind blowing, who knows.
There are also people how think about the pollution so those people use options which don't cause so much comtaminants. Maybe this is the way how all people should think.
All in all travelling is good way to get to know new countries and culture and so on but let's still think about our beatiful world. :)
I agree with the fact that travelling is a good way to learn languages, and it gives you an opportunity to use the vocabulary you have gained over the years. And if you travel to some place far, I'm sure you will learn something about the culture of the place, and who knows it might just be an eye opener for you. I remember when I first visited Thailand, I was so amazed how different it was compared to Finland.
ReplyDeleteNow in high school, I don't have as much time as I did in junior high, so I haven't been to any foreign countries for a while. I'd like to go to America one day, but we'll see how that turns out.
What comes to pollution, I don't really think about that. If I want to go overseas every once in a while, I won't stress about the environment, and I see no problem with that. After all traveling is about relaxing, and you shouldn't worry about anything when you're in a holiday.
Good text! I think too that travelling is increased nowadays. It is a worldwide business in here. People usually travel when they have lot of time like in holidays. But people do often business trips around the world because business is worldwide too nowadays. Travelling is a good way to relax and forget all the stress and things like that. When you travel you often bring your family with you and that is a one way to get closer with you family.
ReplyDeleteI agree that travelling is good way to see other culturies, learn languages and also speak languages that you have learn in school. Also it is good way to relax and travel to some exotic land and just chill and take sunshine. Nowadays flying is quite safety and accidents dont happen so often anymore. Poor countries also make money with tourism.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you guys! I love travelling and would like to visit almost every country on the planet! It's true that travelling is also bad because it creates more greenhouse gases but I love travelling so much that I'm choosing to be selfish so I can travel :D
ReplyDeleteI'm going to continue my comment here because this iPad is a piece of shit!
ReplyDeleteSo I think also that travelling is a good way to learn languages and get more courage to use different languages because abroads you have to use other languages than your own.
I also think that travelling is a good way to see other countries. I have visited in 8 countries in my life including Sweden and Estonia. I still want to visit as many places as possible for example Australia. Because I want to see diffrent cultures and countries...
ReplyDeleteWhen I travel usually I dont think how much pollution I cause, because i dont travel so much and here in Finland I usully use public transports when I want to go somewhere.
Good text, Sofia :-) I really love travelling and I think it's great that people nowadays travel more than before. In my opinion, different cultures and traditions are really interesting and I also would want to go everywhere in the world, at least as many places as I can. At this point I have been in Estonia, Sweden, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Spain, Crete and in Florida, United States. My other trips have been just more like one-week tourist trips with my family, but in the USA I spent 4 weeks without my family, and those weeks were definitely one of the best in my life so far.
ReplyDeleteMy next trip will probably be in the end of summer or at the latest in the autumn. I have planned to go to Germany, because I know the language there and it would be fun to use it, but also all those warm exotic countries tempt me so we'll see :-)
I agree with you Sofia. Travelling is fantastic! I think it's a nice time which may offer you great experiences. It is great that nowadays people are able to travel more than before. It's great to meet new people and new cultures through travel. My favourite place where I have been is Greece. Next summer I will spend one month in Texas and it will definitely be a great trip!
ReplyDeleteI'm agree that travelling is a good way to see different culture. I like travelling very much and I have visited in seven countries. The farthest place where I have visited is one of Greek's islands Crete. I think that I would like to visit some more exotic country some day.
ReplyDeleteI love travelling, but I don't travel very often! Actually I have been only in two countries and then I didn't learn anything about the culture or language. In this summer I'm going to stay in England for three weeks and I really hope that during that time I learn something!
ReplyDeleteAlso I agree with you Sofia, travelling is amazing! But it's also true that it pollutes a lot. But on the other hand, there's all the time coming new inventions that will hopefully make the travelling less polluting. And that's a wonderful thing because every single day thousands of people travel from one place to another: by car, train, ferry or airplane. Or with every one of these! Somebody just has to do it every day or for example once in a week. I don't think that we will ever be able to save the nature by travelling less, because we can't just forbid people to travel. So the only option that's left is to try to create new, environmental-friendly ways to go from one place to another. Travelling expands! :)
ReplyDeleteTravelling isn't only a way of getting known to different cultures and meeting new people. Travelling makes life worth of living. It's one of the best things in the world. And I definitely agree with you and I will travel the world as much as I can. It's true that travelling weights the world but there are many ways of travelling which do not cause so much pollution. Such as walking, cycling and hitchhiking. You can go anywhere if you just want it enough.
